Most of us read the Bible like a soloist trying to sing a song written for a choir—doing our best, but quietly missing something essential. What if the “hidden harmony” of Scripture only comes alive when we hear it together? In this message, discover why God designed His Word to be spoken, shared, and echoed in community—and how your faith can deepen, expand, and even heal when you stop just reading it alone.

When to Call a Counselor - NOW PLAYING
Is counseling a sign of weak faith—or a God-given resource we’re neglecting? Many Christians wrestle with guilt, shame, or confusion when it comes to therapy. Some run to counseling quickly, while others avoid it completely. But what if the issue isn’t whether counseling is biblical… but how Christians should think about it? In this episode of Groundwork, Pastor Mike Collins sits down with Kris Anderson of Building Bridges Christian Counseling, to talk honestly about emotional triggers, spiritual growth, marriage conflict, setting healthy boundaries, and how the Holy Spirit participates in the healing of our hearts—not just our minds.

Spread Some Christmas Cheer!
Join us for an afternoon of caroling and connection as we visit the residents of Claremont Care Center on Saturday, December 13. We’ll meet at Solid Ground at 1:30 PM for a quick run-through of our songs (don’t worry—no auditions, no solos, and absolutely no pressure). Then we’ll head over to share music, smiles, and the simple joy of being present with our neighbors.
If you can carry a tune—or even if you tend to drop it sometimes—come anyway! A warm heart and a big smile go a long way. And bring a Christmas treat to share with the residents. Homemade, store-bought… we’re not picky, and neither are the smiles you’ll inspire.
Contact Marie Collins (or reach out to the church office) with any questions or to RSVP.

Living Nativity Festival
Again this year, we’ll be visiting Granite Creek Church in Claremont for their 24th Annual Living Nativity. But this time around, there’s a twist!,
This year, it’s grown into a full-out festival with a variety-show format–a refreshed 45-minute program celebrating the birth of Jesus through sing-along Christmas carols, an original dance number by Adage Dance Center, and a nativity-focused skit.
Additionally, kids can catch a new live-action Christmas themed show in our immersive Children's Ministry space. Guests can shop in the Nativity Marketplace, pet a camel, roast some s'mores, grab a bite from the food vendors, and much more!
The program runs two nights only–December 20 & 21 from 5-9pm. No tickets are needed and parking is free.

Winter Camp 2026
Some of the best, most life-changing memories you’ll ever make happen at camp—and this year’s Winter Youth Camp (Jan 30–Feb 1, 2026) is your chance to grab a whole new set of them. Think about wild games and tournaments, playing in the snow (hopefully!), great worship sessions, warm cabins, good food, strengthening old friendships and building new ones.
Cabins are assigned before we leave, so be sure to register early. Cost is $150, and the deadline to sign up is Jan 19th.
Don’t miss it. This is the kind of weekend you’ll talk about for years.
