You weren’t meant to carry faith alone.

THIS SUNDAY

You weren’t meant to carry faith alone.

Sometimes following Jesus feels harder than we expected. We try to be patient, faithful, consistent, and strong—but underneath it all, it can still feel like it’s mostly on us to get everything right. In this message, we look at the promise Jesus gives to people who are tired of trying harder. He doesn’t leave us to follow Him by willpower alone. He gives us His Spirit—present with us and in us—so the Christian life becomes less about striving for Jesus and more about walking with Him. If you’ve ever felt like you should be further along by now, this message is an invitation to rediscover the help, presence, and grace Jesus has already promised.

When showing up feels hard...

Sometimes the hardest part of faithfulness is not the work itself. It’s the waiting. You keep showing up, serving, praying, caring, giving, and doing what love requires — but the results are not always easy to see. After a while, it’s natural to wonder whether any of it is really making a difference. This Sunday, we’ll look at a better way to understand faithful service. God’s Kingdom doesn’t grow like a machine, where effort produces instant, measurable output. It’s more like a garden, where one person plants, another waters, and God gives the growth in His time. As part of Volunteer Appreciation Sunday, we’ll also take time to honor those who serve quietly and faithfully — not because they can control the outcome, but because their work matters to God.

  • It's Coffee Time!

Our Sunday sermons are designed to be the first words in a conversation, not the last. The discussion continues every Wednesday morning at Coffee Klatch on the NE corner of Foothill and Vineyard in Rancho Cucamonga. Join Pastor Mike and a group of eager Solid Grounders as we dig deeper into what God’s Word has to say to us.

  • Women's Bible Study re=starts on September 11.

    Women's Bible Study Re-Start

Many ladies believe the Proverbs 31 woman is too perfect. But in reality, she is an ordinary woman who made herself available to an extraordinary God. This study will reveal how women can let God work through them by discerning the true priorities in life, cultivating character qualities valued by family and friends and by pursuing excellence in all they do.

  • Prayer Shawls

Prayer shawls have long been a traditional part of Jewish clothing, full of rich symbolism. These days, they’ve taken on a fresh look, but much of the meaning remains. Obviously, wearing a shawl won’t magically give you VIP access to God or make your prayers more powerful or effective. But it can feel like a cozy hug from above, reminding you that God’s got your back, wrapping you in His love and care. Solid Ground Women, if you love to knit or crochet, we’d love for you to join us in creating beautiful shawls to be sent as gifts to those dealing with illness, grief, loneliness, isolation, or any special need. Your handiwork, paired with your prayers, can provide comfort and warmth both physically and spiritually. Want to get involved? Chat with Jackie Butler in the Welcome Center after church.

Dealing with Discouragement

Sometimes discouragement is easy to explain. Something happened. Someone hurt you. A plan fell apart. But other times you just feel worn down, foggy, spiritually dull, or emotionally tired — and you don’t really know why.

In this episode of Groundwork, Mike Collins explores why discouragement doesn’t always come from one source, and why it doesn’t always need the same response, offering a sensible, biblical framework for asking better questions when your soul feels weighed down.

If you’ve been feeling down and don’t know why, this conversation can help you slow down, listen honestly, and take a wiser next step with God.
